About Us

Even if you are not a history buff, a visit to local museums can always make a trip somewhere memorable. The Isle of Wight is a place that is full of history and was also occupied by the Nazis in World War 2. It should therefore come as no surprise that the island has a somewhat different history to the rest of Great Britain and this is evidenced by artifacts that are on display at the different museums.

On this website, you will find an abundance of information and blog post pages that shed light on the historical aspect of the Isle of Wight, as well as guides on what is on offer at the museums and heritage centres that it possesses.

One of these is the East Cowes Heritage Centre which is a great port of call for any visitor who wants to learn about the past and the traditions of the unique people of the Isle of Wight, who are British, but also Channel Islanders and this makes them very different to the people on the mainland. You will also find information about how to get to the Isle of Wight and how to find its museums which can often hide in plain sight on this quaint little island.

You will also find information of the exhibits and the artifacts on display as well as the people who keep the place running. The Isle of Wight has a lot to offer and it would be a shame to miss out on a memorable experience at its museums.
